Hello and welcome to Little White Duck Nursery.
I am so glad you stopped by. Most of the babies you find here have been handmade by me. A few are ones I’ve purchased for myself and haven’t bonded with.
I put a lot of love and care into making my reborns.
I started off using GHSP but have switched over to air dry paint as I find it easier to work with. Each and every baby is painted with multiple layers of primary washes, mottling, stippling, blushing and detailing to make them look as realistic as possible. They are all sealed with a matte varnish and some, not all, have textured skin.
They are all weighted with glass beading, blasting material, polyfill and poly pellets to give them the most realistic feel possible. All of my babies are either bald or rooted with premium mohair or Alpaca. I’ve tried my hand at painting and prisms pencil and found that I prefer to root. Eyes are acrylic. Some of the most realistic I have been able to procure. These can be swapped out for glass eyes for an added fee. I do assemble my babies with magnifiers for pacifiers, but I can easily remove them if needed. They shouldn’t come in contact with anyone who has a pacemaker.
All of my babies are available as a boy or girl, your choice. And each one will come with a beautiful box opening appropriate for the gender you choose.
